Prayagraj: A team of 12 trainee IAS officers from the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA), Mussoorie, held an interactive meeting with district officials in Prayagraj on Sunday. The session, chaired by District Magistrate Manish Kumar Verma and Chief Development Officer Harshika Singh, took place at the Sangam Auditorium.
During the meeting, officers from various departments presented detailed insights into development plans and flagship schemes being implemented across the district. Departments such as Rural Development, Education, Agriculture, Panchayati Raj, Labour, and Urban Development shared progress reports and discussed key challenges in execution.
District Magistrate Verma said the visit would help trainee officers gain a practical understanding of how development programs are implemented at the grassroots level.
“These interactions allow future administrators to connect classroom learning with ground realities, which will make them more effective in governance and policy execution,” he remarked.
Over the next few days, the trainee officers will visit development blocks in Koraon and Bahria, as well as Nagar Panchayats of Phulpur and Koraon, to conduct field studies. Their schedule includes inspections of slum redevelopment projects, solid and liquid waste management plants, and other ongoing infrastructure works.
Senior district officials, including the District Development Officer, Deputy Commissioners (Self-Employment, Labour & Employment), District Economics and Statistics Officer, District Panchayat Raj Officer, District Basic Education Officer, Project Officer (DUDA), and Deputy Director (Agriculture), were also present.
