2 Indian Railway Officers Assigned New Roles, IRSME Officer M.K. Karekar Deputed to RCIL as Joint GM

Two senior Indian Railway officers have been appointed to new positions within the Ministry of Railways and RailTel Corporation of India Limited (RCIL).

  • Mr. Girish Dharmaraj Kalagonda, an Indian Railway Traffic Service (IRTS) officer currently serving in South Western Railway (SWR), has been posted in the Minister of State for Railways Mr. V. Somanna’s Coordination Cell as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) at the Minister’s Camp Office in Bengaluru. His appointment is on a co-terminus basis.
  • Mr. M.K. Karekar, an Indian Railway Service of Mechanical Engineers (IRSME) officer, formerly Senior Efficiency Officer, Central Railway (CR), has been deputed to RailTel Corporation of India Limited (RCIL) as Joint General Manager (Technical), Mumbai, for a three-year tenure from April 8, 2022.
