2 Senior IPS Officers from Telangana Assigned Key Roles in Andhra Pradesh, Check Names Here

Visakhapatnam: The Andhra Pradesh government has appointed two senior IPS officers, Anjani Kumar and Abhilasha Bisht, to crucial positions in the state following their formal induction into the Andhra Pradesh cadre.

The transfer and cadre allocation were carried out after both officers were relieved by the Telangana government, in accordance with directives from the Union Ministry of Home Affairs.

  • 1990 batch IPS officer Anjani Kumar has been appointed as the Director General of Prisons and Correctional Services, with his new assignment set to begin on February 24, 2025.
  • 1994 batch IPS officer Abhilasha Bisht, who was admitted into the Andhra Pradesh cadre on February 26, has been appointed as Chairman of the AP Road Safety Authority. However, she has proceeded on child care leave shortly after her cadre transfer. Her official posting will take effect upon her return from leave.
