A total of 28 IAS officers belonging to various cadres and batches are due to retire in May 2025. This includes officers from across the country, marking a significant transition in the Indian Administrative Service.

Mr. E Vallavan from the AGMUT cadre; Mr. Israel Watre Ingty from Assam-Meghalaya; Mr. Kumar Lal Chouhan and Mr. Bipin Manjhi from Chhattisgarh; Mr. R S Ninama and Mr. C M Trivedi from Gujarat; Mr. Jai Krishan Abhir from Haryana; Mrs. Punam Prabha Purti from Jharkhand; Ms. Rani George from Kerala; Mr. Vinod Kumar and Mr. Sandeep Kumar Mawkin from Madhya Pradesh; Mr. Dilip B Gawade, Mr. Rajendra V Nimbalkar, Dr. Rajendra B Bhosale, and Mr. Rajendra Shankar Kshirsagar from Maharashtra; Mr. Sanjay Kumar from Nagaland; Mr. Udaya Narayan Das from Odisha; Mrs. Urmila Rajoria, Mr. Mahesh Chandra Sharma, and Mrs. Sushma Arora from Rajasthan; Mrs. A Suganthi, Mr. S Karmegam, Mr. A P Mahabharathi, and Mr. A Sankar from Tamil Nadu; Mr. Chandra Kumar Jamatia from Tripura; Mr. Khatravath R Naik from Uttar Pradesh; Mr. Hari Chand Semwal from Uttarakhand; and Dr. Subrata Gupta from West Bengal.
In addition to the IAS retirements, three senior Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officers from the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC), including the current Chairman Mr. Sanjay Kumar Agarwal (1988-batch), are also set to retire this year. However, the process to appoint new members to the CBIC, including a new chairman, is yet to be initiated.
