In a significant administrative reshuffle, the Punjab Government has issued transfer and posting orders for six IAS officers and one PCS officer. Among the key changes, IAS officers Mr. Jitendra Jorwal (2014-batch IAS officer) and Mr. Girish Dayalan (2011-batch IAS officer), who were previously without official postings, have now been reassigned to key positions in the state administration.
Mr. Jorwal, who had remained without a posting for nearly a month, has been appointed as the Taxation Commissioner, while Mr. Dayalan, who was transferred last week without an immediate reassignment, has been posted as Additional Commissioner Excise and Director General, School Education.
The other notable appointments include:
- Mr. Rajiv Prashar (2008-batch IAS officer), who has been given charge as Secretary, Punjab State Human Rights Commission.
- Mr. Vinay Bublani (2008-batch IAS officer), who will now serve as Commissioner, Patiala Division.
- Mr. Mohinder Pal (2008-batch IAS officer), who has been posted as Secretary, Industries and Commerce.
- Mr. G.P.S. Sahota (IAS), who will take over as Executive Director of the Punjab Backward Classes Land Development and Finance Corporation.
This reshuffle is part of the state government’s ongoing efforts to streamline administrative functions and strengthen governance across departments.
