64th State Level Empowered Committee meeting chaired by Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan

Dehradun: The 64th State Level Empowered Committee meeting was held at the Secretariat on Friday under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan. During the meeting, the Chief Secretary directed that the desired approvals or reports should be made available to the Industries Department soon by all the departments within the prescribed time limit. He said that pending cases should be resolved timely under the Single Window System.

The Chief Secretary said that more than 200 services of about 30 departments have been included under the single window system. He directed that the departments which are taking applications for approvals offline, should make them online as soon as possible. The Chief Secretary also directed the District Magistrates to dispose of the pending cases at the district level soon. He said that there should be no delay in issuing the No Objection Certificates to be issued by the departments under the single window.

The Chief Secretary said that special attention should be paid to connectivity and water supply in the newly constructed government and private industrial development areas in the state. He said that a mechanism should be developed to reuse the water released by the wastewater treatment plants (ETP) as per the standards, so that the use of drinking water and groundwater for industrial purposes can be reduced.

On this occasion, Secretary Ranjit Kumar Sinha, Hari Chandra Semwal, Dr. R. Rajesh Kumar, Vinay Shankar Pandey and Member Secretary Pollution Control Board Dr. Parag Madhukar Dhakate along with other senior officers and District Magistrates from the districts were present through video conferencing.
