Uttarakhand Chief Secretary Radha Raturi gets 6 months extension, will remain CS till September

Dehradun: Uttarakhand Chief Secretary Radha Raturi has been given extension in service for the next 6 months. Radha Raturi is a 1988 batch IAS officer. After the retirement of Sukhbir Singh Sandhu from the post of Chief Secretary, she became the first woman Chief Secretary of the state. Although he got only 2 months time, but now he has got extension of service for next 6 months.

Chief Secretary Radha Raturi got extension in service

Today’s biggest news has come out regarding bureaucracy in Uttarakhand. In fact, State Chief Secretary Radha Raturi has now got extension in service for the next 6 months. Radha Raturi had taken the charge of Chief Secretary in February this year. Radha Raturi became the Chief Secretary after the retirement of SS Sandhu on 31 January 2024. The special thing is that Radha Raturi is the first woman Chief Secretary of Uttarakhand. Although due to his retirement being near, he got time to work only for 2 months, but now he has been given a service extension of 6 months.

6 months service extension to Radha Raturi

In view of Radha Raturi getting less time as Chief Secretary in Uttarakhand and the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, it was already being speculated that she would get a service extension of 6 months. In such a situation, now an order has been issued regarding extension of his service for the next 6 months. Uttarakhand Government had also taken initiative in the Government of India regarding extension of their service. After which she will now remain the Chief Secretary till 30th September. Radha Raturi is a 1988 batch IAS officer and has held various posts in Uttarakhand.
