Chief Forest Conservator Anup Malik retired, IFS Dhananjay Mohan got charge

Dehradun: Chief Conservator of Forests Anup Malik retired on Tuesday. On the basis of seniority, IFS Dhananjay Mohan has been given the charge of Chief Conservator of Forests. The government has issued an order in this regard.

DPC was held on 25 April 2024 under the chairmanship of the Chief Secretary regarding the post of Chief Conservator of Forests. In this, the names of some officers of the Forest Department have been sent for the post of Chief Conservator of Forests. Dhananjay Mohan is the most senior among them.

Who belongs to the 1988 batch of Indian Forest Service Uttarakhand cadre. In January 2020, he took over as the Director of the Wildlife Institute of India in Dehradun. After DPC, permission from the Election Commission of India is awaited for this post.
