Chief Secretary Smt Radha Raturi reached Badrinath and took stock of the Chardham Yatra arrangements and reconstruction works.

Dehradun: Chief Secretary Smt Radha Raturi reached Badrinath on Thursday and did a field inspection of the Chardham Yatra arrangements and reconstruction works. During this, she instructed the officials to make the Yatra of the devotees simple, smooth and convenient and to complete the reconstruction works on time.

Chief Secretary Smt Radha Raturi reached Badrinath by helicopter on Thursday at around 10.30 am along with OSD of Tourism Department Bhaskar Khulve, Tourism Secretary Sachin Kurve and DGP Abhinav Kumar. On reaching the Dham, she did a field inspection of the Yatra arrangements and reconstruction works. The Chief Secretary directed that proper arrangements should be ensured to make the journey of the devotees coming on the Chardham Yatra simple, smooth and convenient. Alternative routes should also be kept open and well maintained .

While conducting a field inspection of the reconstruction works being carried out in Badrinath, the Chief Secretary directed the implementing agencies to complete the construction works speedily with quality. She said that special attention should be paid to timeliness in the reconstruction works. During this, She took complete information about Shesh Netra and Badrish Lake, Arrival Plaza, International Bus Station, River Front Development works. The SDM  informed in detail about the Chardham Yatra arrangements and the progress of reconstruction works. Concerned district level officials were present.
