Dehradun / Delhi: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami met Union Home Minister Amit Shah in New Delhi on Tuesday. During the meeting, the Chief Minister discussed various issues related to the state with the Home Minister. The Chief Minister said that as per the guidelines of recovery and reconstruction under the State Disaster Relief Fund, the state has to bear the required amount due to less funds for reconstruction. Due to limited resources with the state government, there is a delay in the reconstruction of the project. He requested the Union Home Minister to increase the funds for reconstruction under the State Disaster Relief Fund. The Chief Minister also requested for the arrangement of funds for the state for the reconstruction of H.T Line of more than 33 kV capacity damaged by natural disaster in the standards of the State Disaster Relief Fund.
The Chief Minister said that in view of the increase in devotees and tourists in Nainital, there is a problem of parking. He requested the Union Home Minister to give the entire land of the enemy property Metropole Hotel complex in Nainital to the state government for vehicle parking and road widening.
