Dehradun: During his stay in Delhi, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami is continuously making courtesy calls to Union Ministers and senior BJP leaders. Yesterday, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and several Union Ministers. In this sequence, he met Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh this morning. CM Dhami talked to Rajnath Singh about many schemes related to the state.
CM Dhami requested the Defense Minister to agree to provide the land of the Department of Defense Estate located in Nainital to the state government for the development of parking facilities keeping in mind the convenience of tourists / devotees coming to Nainital from the country and abroad. The government wants that this land can be used as parking to deal with the jam. The Chief Minister said that at present Nainital has become important not only from the world tourism point of view but also from the religious point of view. The number of devotees visiting the world famous Baba Neeb Karori Maharaj’s ashram ‘Shri Kainchi Dham’ in Nainital is continuously increasing.
The devotees visiting Kainchi Dham stay in Nainital or the border areas of Nainital. In such a situation, if any assurance is received from the Center, then the state government will work further in this direction. This land is being considered suitable for parking arrangements in Nainital. There is land of Defense Estate Department at a distance of 2 km from Naini Lake, whose area is 3 acres. If this land is made available for parking, then the problem of parking arrangement in Nainital will be solved to a certain extent.
If the land is developed as a multi-storey parking, then about 1500 to 2000 vehicles will be able to be parked in it. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami will also stay in Delhi today i.e. on June 26 and meet many Union Ministers. The state has a lot of expectations from the NDA government being formed for the third time under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This is the reason why Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami is meeting the Union Ministers regarding all the schemes of the state. There is a possibility that he may meet the Railway Minister and other Union Ministers today.
