Assam Govt. Accepts IAS Vishal Solanki’s VRS Plea

Recently, the government of Assam accepted the Voluntary Retirement plea (citing personal reasons) of Mr. Vishal Vasant Solanki (2005-batch Assam-Meghalaya cadre IAS officer). Officer Solanki was last posted in the ranks of Commissioner and Secretary and had served as the Secretary to former Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal. He had been on deputation in Maharashtra since 2017.

Solanki submitted his retirement request under Rule 16(2) of the All India Service (DCRB) Rules. The Personnel Department, led by Secretary Yadav Shaikia, issued a directive on June 25th, granting his request effective from May.
