A complete calendar of works should be made till the completion of the projects, CM Dhami gave instructions in the meeting of the Industry Department and SIDCUL

Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, during the meeting of the Industry Department and SIDCUL in the Secretariat, directed the officials to make a complete calendar of works till the completion of the projects being worked on in the state. Clear details including timeline of the projects which have been targeted to be completed in 02 years should be presented soon. He said that the work of the convention center to be built in Laltappad should be completed by July 2026. The convention center is to be built in about 57 acres. The Chief Minister said that the process of construction of the film city to be built in Dehradun should also be started soon. For this, 107 acres of land has been identified. He said that apart from Haridwar, action should be taken to construct flatted factories in Udham Singh Nagar and Selaqui. The process of construction of flatted factory on 05 lakh square feet of land in Haridwar is in progress. The Chief Minister directed the officials to keep the departments related to infrastructure development and technical efficiency in the same area. Work should be done according to the objectives for which the IT Park was established. Special efforts should be made to promote industries in hilly areas. He directed that such arrangements should be made under the Private Industrial Estate Policy that there is no need to get Section 143 done separately for land use change, so that there is no unnecessary delay in the work. He said that apart from urban areas, industries should also be promoted rapidly in hilly areas. The Chief Minister directed that Rural Business Incubators should be promoted rapidly in hilly areas. These will play an important role in connecting youth and women with self-employment.

It was informed in the meeting that about 50 thousand people have got employment under the Chief Minister’s Self-Employment Scheme. The Chief Minister directed that this scheme should be widely publicized so that people get maximum benefit from it. Chief Minister Self-Employment Scheme Nano should also be added to the Chief Minister’s Self-Employment Scheme. If there is a need to increase the budget under CM Swarojgar Yojana, then a proposal should be brought for it. To double the state’s GDP by 2028, a target of investment of 90 thousand crores has been set in the manufacturing sector by 2028, while the target of 01 lakh 26 thousand crores is likely to be achieved. The Chief Minister said that work should also be done on the basis of best practices of other states for industrial development.

Vice Chairman Infrastructure Monitoring Council Vishwas Dabur, Chief Secretary Radha Raturi, Additional Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan, Principal Secretary R.K. Sudhanshu, Secretary Industry Vinay Shankar Pandey, Additional Secretary Vijay Jogdande, Director General Industry Rohit Meena and related officials were present in the meeting.
