Big decisions of Uttarakhand Education Department, teachers’ salary will increase, bumper vacancy in fourth class

Dehradun: The Uttarakhand government has decided to give compulsory retirement to serious teachers of the state. Actually, many teachers of the state are seriously ill, due to which they are not able to give their services. In such a situation, now the Uttarakhand government has decided that all serious teachers of the state will be given compulsory retirement.

On Thursday, during the review meeting of the Education Department, Education Minister Dhan Singh Rawat directed to prepare a proposal to create a new three-tier structure of the educational cadre under school education in the state. Along with this, instructions were given to give compulsory retirement to serious teachers, create a new structure of National Council of Education Research and Training (SCERT) and increase the honorarium of guest teachers.

Teachers in three categories

During the meeting, the minister instructed the officials to prepare a three-tier structure of the educational cadre from primary to secondary under school education by talking to the teacher organizations. Under which now there will be three categories of teachers in the educational cadre, PRT (Primary Teacher), TGT (Trained Graduate Teacher) and PGT (Post Graduate Teacher). It has been decided to give compulsory retirement to the teachers suffering from serious diseases by checking their health certificates under the department and identifying the really seriously ill teachers.

Honorary of guest teachers will increase

Along with this, instructions have been given to the officials to give a proposal to the government as soon as possible to increase the honorarium of guest teachers working under school education to make it equal to the guest teachers of Rajiv Navodaya Vidyalayas. In the same sequence, instructions have been given to provide the proposal to the government to prepare a structure of 108 posts instead of 153 posts by reorganizing the structure of the educational cadre under SCERT. Instructions have been given to re-evaluate the five model DIETs of the state and send it to the Government of India. The proposal regarding giving token money in relation to the proposals related to financial assistance to non-government schools received from all the districts has been asked to be provided to the government.

Recruitments will be done on Class IV posts

Similarly, along with taking action against the responsible officers who have not spent the funds allocated to PM-Shri schools, instructions have also been given to prepare DPR of D and C category schools and submit it to the government as soon as possible. Instructions have also been given to prepare a proposal to give exemption from the Employment Prayag portal of Seva Yojana Department and to select the outsourced agency through e-tendering to provide employment to local unemployed youth on Class IV posts. It has also been decided not to transfer teachers and non-teaching staff unnecessarily on administrative basis.
