Uttarakhand: CM Pushkar Singh Dhami reached Haridwar, held a meeting regarding the preparations for the Kanwar Yatra, the journey is starting from July 22

Haridwar: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami reached Haridwar on Friday to take stock of the preparations for the Kanwar Yatra. CM Dhami held a review meeting with administrative officials, MLAs and corporation officers regarding the Kanwar Yatra to be held in the month of Sawan. The Chief Minister gave some suggestions, which also includes instructions to pay attention to basic necessities. Important decisions were taken in the meeting.

Kanwar Yatra is starting from July 22. For the convenience of the Kanwariyas reaching Haridwar, the Municipal Corporation will build two rest places on the Kanwar track route. One rest place will be near the Panchsheel temple and the other near the Shiva temple. Both the rest places will be waterproof so that there can be protection from rain. Apart from this, a fountain will also be installed for the Kanwar pilgrims to take bath. Mobile toilets will also be arranged on the Kanwar track.

300 street lights are being installed for the Kanwar pilgrims

After the meeting, it was told that 300 street lights are being installed for the Kanwar pilgrims. At the same time, for the Kanwar Yatra, the Directorate General of Health has issued orders to cancel the holidays of all government hospitals in Haridwar district from July 22 to August 4. It has been warned that if any doctor or staff is found absent from duty during the Kanwar Yatra, departmental action will be taken.

In any emergency, after the police, the health department is most needed. In the last few years, it has been seen that many accidents happen during the Kanwar Yatra, in which many people lose their lives and many are seriously injured. It is the responsibility of the health department to provide timely treatment to the injured and refer them to a higher center if the condition is serious. This time a large number of Shiva devotees are expected to come.
