In a late-night development, the Uttar Pradesh government announced significant transfers and postings for three IPS officers, aimed at optimizing administrative roles within the state’s law enforcement apparatus.
Abhishek Verma (IPS:2016), currently serving as SP in Hapur, has been transferred and will now await further assignment on the waiting list.
Gyananjay Singh (IPS-SPS), who currently holds the position of DCP in the Police Commissionerate of Ghaziabad, has been reassigned as the new SP of Hapur.
Rajesh Kumar II (IPS-SPS), presently SP at ACB (Anti-Corruption Bureau), has been redirected to assume the role of DCP within the Police Commissionerate of Ghaziabad.
Just four days prior to the latest reshuffle, the government implemented a major transfer of IPS officers as well. Subsequently, a major reshuffle saw 10 IPS officers being shifted, including the Superintendents of Police in six districts: Jalaun, Etah, Hardoi, Shamli, Bijnor, and Ghazipur.
