Uttarakhand: Departments related to the Yatra will regularly update real time data on the Chardham Dashboard

Dehradun: Chief Secretary Smt Radha Raturi has instructed all the departments related to the Chardham Yatra to regularly update real time data on the Chardham Dashboard which will be launched soon. She said that this dashboard will become a medium for effective exchange of information and data sharing among all the departments related to Chardham. This will establish effective coordination among the departments and the tendency of them to work in isolation will end. For this, She instructed to deploy one nodal officer in each department. The Chief Secretary instructed all the concerned departments that the data to be updated on the Chardham Dashboard should be dynamic and real time.  It should be updated regularly.

Chief Secretary Smt Radha Raturi has directed the Public Works Department to compulsorily update the data of black spots, slipping zones, alternative routes other than the main roads, roads obstructed by debris, landslides or traffic jams, road accidents in the Chardham dashboard and She directed the UCADA to compulsorily update the information of cancellation of heli service in the Dhams due to bad weather or other reasons in advance. Along with this, the Chief Secretary has also directed the Animal Husbandry Department to regularly update the real time data of availability of fodder, hot drinking water, veterinarians for mules on the Yatra route in the Chardham dashboard and the Police Department to update the real time data of information about parking places on the Yatra route and availability of parking space.

Chief Secretary Smt Radha Raturi reviewed the Chardham Dashboard being prepared by ITDA in the Secretariat. This dashboard will initially be used for administrative coordination and work of government departments and later will be opened to the general public.

Chief Secretary Smt Radha Raturi has given instructions to do GIS tagging of the work done on the Yatra route . She has said that interlinking of various departments is necessary for performance evaluation. The Chief Secretary has also given instructions to add other crowded tourist places like Mussoorie in the Chardham Dashboard, so that all the information and real time data can be available to the tourists visiting these places. Along with this, the Chief Secretary has given instructions to strictly follow the rules of mandatory keeping trash bags in the vehicles of pilgrims and tourists coming on Chardham Yatra. For this, she has given instructions to provide information while issuing trip cards and to check and challan regularly. She has given instructions to write letters to municipal bodies, corporations and district panchayats in this regard.  The Chief Secretary has directed the District Magistrates to hold talks for the insurance arrangement of mules providing services on the Yatra route. Secretary Public Works Department, Disaster Management, Animal Husbandry, Director ITDA,  Director General Health and other concerned officers were present in the meeting.
