Action will be taken against officers and employees responsible for delay in disposal of files, Chief Secretary sought weekly report

Dehradun: Chief Secretary Smt Radha Raturi has directed all the officers and employees of Uttarakhand Secretariat to ensure prompt disposal of files by giving top priority to the review, processing and transmission of files on the e-office portal. CS Smt Raturi has said that the practice of keeping files pending affects the efficient functioning of any department / institution and causes delay in works related to public interest. The Chief Secretary has directed to dispose of files within the stipulated time limit as per the protocol.

Along with this, Chief Secretary Smt Radha Raturi has directed the Secretariat General Administration Department to prepare an action plan soon to establish a daily review mechanism to monitor the status of pending files. The Secretariat Administration Department will ensure that there is no unnecessary delay in the disposal of files. Appropriate action will be taken against the officers and employees responsible for undue delay in disposal of files, which may also include disciplinary measures.

The Uttarakhand Secretariat Administration will submit a weekly report to the Chief Secretary on the status of disposal of files. Chief Secretary Smt. Radha Raturi has directed to organize training sessions on efficient use of e-office portal for all concerned officers and employees as before to facilitate speedy disposal of files.

The Chief Secretary has also directed to make appropriate improvements in the e-office portal technically on the suggestions of officers and employees for speedy disposal of files and to make e-office user friendly. Chief Secretary Smt Radha Raturi has directed to ensure strict compliance of all instructions in this regard.
