Students of government schools will get free benefits of facilities of Doon Library and Research Centre

Dehradun: Students of government schools can avail the facilities of Doon Library and Research Centre free of cost. Chief Secretary Smt Radha Raturi has directed the District Magistrate Dehradun to immediately write a letter to the Principals of all government schools in this regard, while giving instructions to arrange free membership for the students of all government schools in Doon Library and Research Centre (DLRC).

While presiding over the 45th Governing Body meeting of Doon Library and Research Centre in the Secretariat, Chief Secretary Smt. Radha Raturi has given instructions to ensure arrangements for dissemination of information about welfare schemes, self-employment schemes, start-up policy being run by the government for the youth along with the orientation program of competitive examinations in Doon Library and Research Centre.  In today’s meeting, the Chief Secretary approved the demand for Rs 2.12 crore for the corpus fund of Doon Library and Research Centre.

Secretary Shri Ravinath Raman, District Magistrate Dehradun, Director of Doon Library and Research Centre Shri N Ravishankar, Shri Napchyal, Shri B K Joshi and other officers were present in the meeting.
