On Independence Day, CM Dhami gave a gift to the pensioners, announced to increase the amount, policy will be made for senior citizens

Dehradun: On the occasion of Independence Day, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami hoisted the flag and wished the people of the state. Also paid tribute to all the martyrs and freedom fighters, martyred state agitators. During this, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami also made 8 big announcements, in which mainly the amount of pensioners of the state will be increased from ₹ 4000 to ₹ 6000. Along with this, one local body of all the districts of the state will be developed as an ideal body.

CM Dhami counted the achievements

During the program, CM Dhami said in his address that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the country is moving forward rapidly, the prestige of India is increasing in the country and the world. Along with this, India is achieving new records in every field in the whole world today. Along with repealing all the laws that were in place since the British era, the Modi government has taken decisions like removing Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir and a temple of Lord Ram has been built in Ayodhya.

Important contribution of Uttarakhand

The Chief Minister said that Uttarakhand has played an important role in this golden journey of India. Uttarakhand is not only Devbhoomi but also Veerbhoomi, we are proud of our military tradition and patriotic heritage. In Veerbhoomi Uttarakhand, which has a military tradition, brave soldiers from almost every family have been contributing to the defense of the country for generations. The state government has built a Shaurya Sthal in Dehradun in honor of the martyred soldiers. The ex-gratia amount given to the martyred soldiers in the state has been increased from Rs 10 lakh to Rs 50 lakh. A person from the family of martyred soldiers is also being given a government job.

Achieved the goal by overcoming challenges

The state of Uttarakhand has got the first place in achieving the goals of sustainable development by overcoming all the challenges. The Uttarakhand government has made many laws including the conversion law, anti-copying law. The Uttarakhand government is working keeping in mind simplification, solution, settlement and satisfaction. To end corruption, 1064 toll free number has been issued. Anyone can call on this number and complain against corruption. So far, action has been taken against more than 100 corrupt people.

Many schemes in progress in the state

During Uttarakhand Global Investor Summit-2023, MoUs have been signed with the state government for investment of about Rs 3.5 lakh crore, out of which MoUs worth about Rs 81 thousand crore have been grounded. Work is going on rapidly on schemes worth about two lakh crore in Uttarakhand. With the efforts of the state government, Uttarakhand is also rapidly developing as a tourism hub, adventure tourism hub, film shooting destination. New policies have been formulated to promote industry and tourism in the state. With the completion of Delhi-Dehradun elevated road and Vande Bharat Express, Dehradun will soon become a part of Delhi NCR. Due to which new opportunities for investment, development of industries, employment will be available in the state.

Benefits of Didi Lakhpati Yojana

The Chief Minister said that respect for women power has been our tradition. In such a situation, to make women financially strong, under the Lakhpati Didi scheme, loans up to Rs 5 lakh are being given to women self-help groups at zero interest rate. A target has been set to make 1.25 lakh women Lakhpati Didi by the year 2025. 30 percent horizontal reservation has been implemented in government jobs for women. The honorarium of Anganwadi sisters has been increased. Under the Antyodaya Free Gas Refill Scheme, the benefit of 3 gas cylinder refills free facility is being given in a year.

Important announcements of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Independence Day

  • One local body in each district will be developed as a model body.
  • Farmers doing excellent work in the field of industry, horticulture and any other field will be honored.
  • Employee Personal Loan Scheme will be implemented for regular employees of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Divyang and Other Backward Classes.
  • The amount given under the old age pension scheme, widow pension scheme, disabled pension scheme, grant scheme for children with disabilities from birth and the pension scheme will be increased from Rs 4000 to Rs 6000.
  • To connect the youth with self-employment, the subject matter of training under the skill development scheme will be determined by the District Skill Development Committee in accordance with local requirements.
  • A policy will be made for the overall welfare of senior citizens.
  • Announcement to promote trout fish production to stop migration from the mountainous areas of the state. A scheme of Rs 200 crore will be started in the fisheries department.
  • To provide modern veterinary facilities to the cattle keepers of the state, one model veterinary hospital will be constructed in each district at a cost of Rs 75 crore. Due to which about 11 lakh cattle keepers will get the benefit.

5 police officers and personnel of Udham Singh Nagar were honored

Five brave officers and employees of Udham Singh Nagar Police were also honored in Dehradun. The five employees were awarded the special commendable service award on the occasion of Independence Day for their commendable work. These include Inspector Jeeto Kamboj, Sub Inspector Manoj Dhoni, Constable Neeraj Shukla, Constable Lalit Kumar and Constable Kuldeep Singh.
