Dhami Cabinet approved 8 proposals, approved supplementary budget of Rs 5 thousand crores

Dehradun: A cabinet meeting was held in the Secretariat on Saturday under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. During the meeting, the cabinet has approved all the important proposals related to public interest. Along with this, the Dhami cabinet has approved the supplementary budget to be presented during the upcoming monsoon session of the Legislative Assembly to be convened in Gairsain from August 21. According to the information received, a supplementary budget of about Rs 5000 crore will be presented during the session.

Important points of Dhami Cabinet

  • In the meeting of the Dhami cabinet, first of all, tribute was paid to the martyr Captain Deepak Singh by observing two minutes of silence in his memory.
  • Approval to present a supplementary budget of about Rs 5000 crore in the assembly session to be held in Gairsain from August 21.
  • The rates of NDRF and SDRF have been re-determined. The state cabinet expressed special gratitude and thanks to the Prime Minister and the Home Minister for this.
  • Approval given to change the name of ‘State Institute for Empowering and Transforming Uttarakhand (SETU)’, the institute related to policy planning in the state, to ‘State Institute for Empowering and Transforming Uttarakhand (SETU) Commission’ on the lines of the commission formed in the Government of India.
  • Approval to promulgate Uttarakhand Food Security Service Cadre (Group A, B and C) Service Amendment Rules- 2024.
  • Approval to promulgate Uttarakhand State Protocol (Non-Gazetted) Service Rules – 2024.
  • Approval to table the annual financial representation of the financial year 2022-23 of Uttarakhand Power Corporation Limited under the Department of Energy and Alternative Energy in the Legislative Assembly.
  • Approval to provide appointment to the dependents of the deceased in the cooperative and public sector sugar mills of the state.
