Dr. Diksha Joshi, IAS of 2021 batch and daughter of Uttarakhand, who secured 19th rank in UPSC, got her first posting in Hardoi, UP, became Deputy Collector

Dehradun / Lucknow: Diksha Joshi, who secured 19th rank in UPSC Civil Services Examination, had chosen Uttarakhand as her first cadre but due to less vacancies in Uttarakhand, she was allotted Uttar Pradesh cadre instead of Uttarakhand, after completing training from LBS Mussoorie, she has been made Deputy Collector of Shahabad Tehsil in Hardoi district of Uttar Pradesh in her first posting. Whose charge Diksha Joshi has taken over today.

Family introduction of Diksha Joshi

Diksha Joshi originally hails from Siloni village of Moonakot block of Pithoragarh district of Uttarakhand. Diksha Joshi has two siblings, her father Suresh Joshi is a senior BJP leader and mother Geeta Joshi is a housewife. Diksha did her schooling from Uttarakhand, Diksha had taken coaching earlier, but after failing, she left coaching and started focusing completely on self-study, she fixed a time to study in the day and read some other books along with NCERT books, instead of reading more books, she read fewer books and revised them repeatedly, which proved to be useful in getting her success in UPSC.

Diksha got 19th rank

Diksha Joshi got All India 19th rank in UPSC Civil Services Examination. However, it was not easy for her to pass this exam. But on the basis of right strategy and regular study, she passed this exam. Diksha is originally from Pithoragarh in Uttarakhand. She got 19th rank in the 2021 Civil Services Examination.

Diksha could not get success in the first two attempts

Diksha has studied up to 10th and 12th from Mallikarjun College. After this, she did MBBS from Jolly Grant Himalayan Institute of Medical Science. However, her dream was to work in civil services since childhood. This was the reason why she gave the UPSC Civil Services exam after internship. But she was not selected in the first two attempts. But she succeeded in the third attempt and got 19th rank.

How did Diksha prepare?

When Diksha did not get success in the first two attempts, she decided to quit coaching. Because she was not able to study due to spending too much time in coaching. Due to which the syllabus remained incomplete. This is the reason why she focused on self study. For this, she studied for 7 to 8 hours every day. During these 7-8 hours, she divided the syllabus and started preparing for the exam accordingly and the result was that she fulfilled her and her family’s dream by securing 19th rank in All India in the third attempt.
