Dhami government started compensating the loss caused by rain in Kedarnath, relief amount of 9 crores approved for disaster affected businessmen

Dehradun: Due to heavy rains during this monsoon season in the state, disaster-like situation prevails in many areas of the state. In this sequence, due to heavy rains in Kedarnath area on July 31, the pedestrian and motor road from Lincholi to Sonprayag was damaged, due to which Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has approved a relief amount of 9 crore 8 lakhs from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to provide relief to all the affected traders. In this regard, Secretary Chief Minister Shailesh Bagauli has also issued a government order.

Rain wreaked havoc in Kedarnath on July 31

According to the letter issued to the Rudraprayag District Officer, a meeting was held under the chairmanship of the Chief Development Officer to provide relief to all the traders affected by the damage of the pedestrian track and motor road from Lincholi to Sonprayag due to heavy rains on July 31. During the meeting, it was proposed to release about Rs 9 crore 8 lakh from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund as assistance to the disaster affected.

The amount will be paid through e-banking or demand draft

In such a situation, after the instructions of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, funds have been released to the District Magistrate Rudraprayag from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to compensate the losses of the affected people due to heavy rains from Linchauli to Sonprayag. This amount will be paid to the affected people through e-banking or demand draft on the basis of the provisions made in the government order.

Traders had suffered heavy losses

On July 31, due to heavy rains, the roads leading to Kedarnath Dham were damaged, due to which the Kedarnath Dham Yatra was also stopped. Due to which the traders had suffered a lot of loss.
