Uttarakhand: SSB passing out parade concluded in Srinagar, country gets 86 brave soldiers

Srinagar: After 48 weeks of rigorous training, today SSB has got 86 new sub-inspectors. These sub-inspectors are starting their service after taking the oath of service to the country in the Passing Out Parade (POP) organized at SSB CTC Srinagar Garhwal. Among these, the maximum number of soldiers are from Uttar Pradesh (20), Bihar (4), Haryana (13), Rajasthan (18), Himachal Pradesh (1), Jammu and Kashmir (1), Jharkhand (1), Uttarakhand (6), West Bengal (1), Telangana (2), Manipur (7), Delhi (5), and military officers.

Now these new sub-inspectors of SSB will protect the country by being posted in Naxal-affected areas along the Nepal-Bhutan border. SSB IG RK Bumla was also present during this. He took the salute of the parade by putting badges on the new officers.

A total of 93 training programmes have been conducted so far in this centralised training centre which was officially established on 1 June 2017. These include 17 basic trainings, 43 promotion trainings, 17 in-service trainings and 14 vocational subject-related trainings which also include 3 trainings of horse riding. A total of 5674 trainees have been trained in these trainings and sent for national service. The course description includes general soldier skills, physical training, drill training, weapon training, swimming, tactics general training, legal provisions human rights, gender sensitivity medical/first aid, emphasis on special skills, personal development etc.

During this, SSB IG RK Bumla said that the passed out military officers will now protect the country’s borders. The responsibility of guarding the country’s borders will be on their shoulders. All will perform their duties honestly. He also gave tips to the youth to join the army. He said that the youth should also pay attention to their physical fitness along with studies. One can join the army only with hard work. He congratulated all the passed out military officers.
