Kedarghati disaster: CM Dhami gave relief to the affected businessmen, transferred 9 crore 64 lakhs through DBT

Dehradun: Due to heavy rains in the Kedarghati area, many businessmen have suffered losses due to damage to the foot and motor road from Linchauli to Sonprayag. In view of which, CM Pushkar Singh Dhami transferred relief amount of Rs 9 crore 64 lakh to the affected through DBT for compensation of the affected businessmen under the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund. CM Dhami had earlier also released an amount of Rs 9 crore 8 lakh from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund on the basis of a proposal received from Rudraprayag DM for compensation of the affected people of heavy rains from Linchauli to Sonprayag. After this, the Chief Minister had approved an additional amount of Rs 56 lakh for the disaster affected. In such a situation, the state government has sent a total relief amount of Rs 9 crore 64 lakh to the affected people through DBT.

At the same time, Chief Minister Dhami said that the disaster in the Kedarnath area was a sad incident. With the help of local people and the help of the administration, the rescue operation was completed as soon as possible. He said that the state government would always be ready to help the people and traders affected during the disaster. Continuous work is being done to make the Kedarnath Yatra route more accessible. Due to which the Chardham Yatra has gained momentum again.

CM Dhami said that work is going on to build a grand and divine Kedarnath under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Work is going on continuously on schemes worth crores in the Kedarnath area. These schemes are providing convenience to the local people as well as the devotees visiting in large numbers. He said that the state government is working with commitment for the development of the Kedarnath region and the government is determined to help the local people in every possible way.
