Tamil Nadu: Key Police Reshuffle, IPS Santosh Hadimani Appointed DCP of Triplicane, GCP

In a significant reshuffle, the Tamil Nadu government has transferred several senior police officers to enhance the effectiveness of law enforcement in the region.

2011 batch IPS officer Santosh Hadimani, formerly Superintendent of Police at the Chief Office Vacancy Reserve, has been appointed as Deputy Commissioner of Police in Triplicane, Greater Chennai Police (GCP), replacing S. Selvanagarathinam, an IPS officer of 2013 batch.

  1. Selvanagarathinam will now serve as Deputy Commissioner of Police for St. Thomas Mount, also under the Greater Chennai Police, taking over from M. Sudhakar, who has been appointed as Superintendent of Police for Tiruvannamalai district, succeeding K. Prabakar.
  2. Prabakar has been assigned to the role of Deputy Commissioner of Police for the Central Crime Branch at the Tambaram Police Commissionerate
