Uttarakhand: Additional Information Director reached Pauri on a one-day visit, said- Media plays an important role in bringing public welfare schemes to the public

Pauri: Additional Director of Information and Public Relations Department Uttarakhand Ashish Kumar Tripathi, who arrived on a one-day district visit, inspected the District Information Office Pauri Garhwal today. He took information about the work from the office desk assistants, inspected the files and gave necessary guidelines. In the sequence of the guidelines of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, the Additional Director inspected the District Information Office Pauri and observed the dispatch register, postal register, newspaper inspection register and others. He said that ensure that daily newspapers are recorded in the news inspection register every day. He expressed satisfaction when all the registers were found well organized in the office. In view of the dilapidated condition of the Information Office building, he directed to look for a new building and shift the office there. The Additional Director also interacted with the media during the district visit. During this, he was welcomed by the journalists by giving a flower bouquet on his visit to the district. While talking to the media, he said that the media has an important role in reaching the public with the various public welfare schemes being run by the government. Many important decisions have been taken by the Uttarakhand government in the direction of journalist welfare.

He said that recently the Journalist Welfare Fund has been increased from 5 crores to 10 crores by the Chief Minister. He said that in case of sudden death of a journalist, instructions have been given by the Chief Minister to make the process of assistance given to his dependents more smooth and fast. He also said that work is going on on the new Journalist Recognition Rules, in which the Chief Minister has also given instructions to give recognition up to the tehsil level. With the aim of increasing communication between the Information Department and district level journalists and quick resolution of the problems of journalists, the District Nodal Officers of the Information Department are visiting the areas. The Additional Director gave information about the various facilities being given to the journalists and various schemes being run in the interest of journalists. During this, various problems and demands were raised by the press representatives.

Taking cognizance of the problems and demands, he assured the press representatives that the problems would be resolved soon.
