Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently interacted with IPS probationers, belonging to the 76th batch of Regular Recruits, and discussed the transformation of policing over the years and the importance of tackling new challenges like cybercrime.
The “Dikshant” parade, which took place in September, marked the culmination of basic course training for 207 officer trainees, including 188 IPS officers and 19 foreign officers from countries like Nepal, Bhutan and others, with a notable 58 lady officers among them. The IPS trainees shall return to the academy for the final nine weeks of training, beginning May 26th, 2025.
The Prime Minister took to X and wrote: “Interacted with IPS Probationers of 76 RR earlier today. Wished them the very best in their endeavour of serving people. Discussed how policing has changed over the years and how it has become important to tackle new challenges like cyber crime. @svpnpahyd.”
