CM Dhami’s gift to Kedarghati, 48.36 crores released before by-election, development works will get wings, disaster had caused devastation

Dehradun: By-election can be held in the month of November on the Kedarnath assembly seat of Uttarakhand. Even before that, the Dhami government is giving many big gifts to the people of Kedarnath. On the instructions of the Chief Minister, Rs 4 crore 71 lakh has been approved for the improvement and asphalting work of 8.5 km of Dewar motorway from Guptkashi-Jakhdhar-Tyudi motorway in Ukhimath development block of Rudraprayag district under Kedarnath assembly constituency.

Due to heavy rains in Kedarghati on July 31, an amount of Rs 4836.63 lakh has been released for repairing the damage caused to the Kedarnath Dham foot path, road and other places and for restoration works. Apart from this, Rs 3 crore 68 lakh has been approved for the improvement and asphalting work of 4.5 km of Gadhi to Dhartolia motor road inside Agastyamuni development block.

Earlier, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has also given a big gift to the Talla Nagpur Valley and started the work of connecting the missing link of Kandai Jagatoli motor road, the work of which has started on Monday. Let us tell you that after the death of Kedarnath MLA Shailarani Rawat, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami promised the people of Kedarnath assembly constituency that till your MLA is not made, he himself will work as the MLA of that area.

After the heavy rains in Kedarghati on 31st July, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami is constantly taking updates of the current situation and has also given the responsibility of monitoring to the Disaster Secretary along with the Garhwal Commissioner. Under the leadership of District Magistrate Saurabh Gaharwar, the Public Works Department and the Irrigation Department are continuously doing disaster protection and restoration work amidst adverse conditions. Let us tell you that due to heavy rains in Kedarghati on July 31, the Kedarnath road and footpath were damaged at many places. The footpath was damaged at 29 places, while the road was also washed out. Security walls were also damaged at many places due to the velocity of Mandakini and Son rivers. 41 proposals were sent from the district level for security works and restoration works at various places.

After the approval of Chief Minister Pushkar Dhami, 29 projects of Public Works Department costing Rs 1934.86 lakh and 12 projects of Irrigation Department costing Rs 2901.77 lakh have been approved. Both the departments have also released Rs 1472.21 lakh for Public Works Department and Rs 1197.51 lakh for Irrigation Department on Monday.
