The government of Madhya Pradesh has lately orchestrated the transfer and posting of the Superintendents of Police (SPs) of several districts. As per the order, the SPs of the Tikamgarh district along with Sehore and Vidisha adjoining capital Bhopal were reshuffled.
The government transferred the SP of Sehore, Mr. Mayank Awasthi (2012 batch), has been removed and posted to AIG PHQ. Mr. Deepak Kumar Shukla (2014 batch), last posted as the SP of Vidisha has been made the new SP of Sehore district. Mr. Rohit Kashwani (2017 batch), last posted as the SP of Tikamgarh, has been transferred and posted as the new SP of Vidisha district. IPS Manohar Singh Mandloi, posted in the 29th Battalion, Special Armed Force (Datia), has been made the new SP of Tikamgarh district.
It is pertinent to mention that both Sehore and Vidisha districts are adjacent to the capital Bhopal, so there was speculation about the transfer of officers here for a long time. Recently the Mohan government transferred the collectors of some districts, thus an IPS reshuffle had been on the cards for a long time.
