Jharkhand: 7 IPS Officers Reshuffled Ahead Of Polls, Kumar Shivashish Appointed SP, Jamshedpur City

With the Jharkhand Vidhan Sabha polls knocking at the door, the government has reshuffled seven IPS officers across the state.

The IPS Transferees Are:

  • Mr. Kumar Shivashish (2020 batch), last posted as SDPO in Hazaribagh, has been transferred and posted as SP in Jamshedpur City.
  • Mr. Paras Rana (2021 batch), awaiting posting orders, has been posted as Additional SP (Operations) in Chaibasa.
  • Mr. Rakesh Singh (2021 batch), awaiting posting orders, has been posted as Additional SP (Operations) in Palamu.
  • Mr. Ritvik Srivastava (2021 batch), awaiting posting orders, has been posted as Additional SP (Operations) in Chatra.
  • Mr. Sheikh Mohammad Yakub (2021 batch), awaiting posting orders, has been posted as SDPO of Hussainabad.
  • Mr. Lalit Meena (2021 batch), also awaiting posting orders, has been posted as SDPO of Chainpur in Gumla.
  • Mr. Amit Anand (2021 batch), awaiting posting orders, has been posted as SDPO of Hazaribagh.

Chief Election Commissioner, Mr. Rajiv Kumar, has announced the dates for the Jharkhand assembly elections — which are scheduled to take place in two phases. Polling will be held on November 13th and 20th and counting of votes will take place on November 23rd, 2024.
