Dehradun: State Bank of India, Bank of Baroda, Union Bank of India, Canara Bank and District Cooperative Bank signed an MoU with the Uttarakhand government for corporate salary package and other benefits for government personnel at the Secretariat on Wednesday in the presence of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and Finance Minister Premchand Aggarwal. Currently, about 64 percent of the government personnel of the state, whose salary account is in these banks, will benefit from this contract.
The state government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, decided on this contract keeping in mind the interests of the government personnel. The Chief Minister expressed hope that all these banks will continue to work continuously to make the corporate salary package more beneficial for the employees. Our effort will be that in future 100 percent of the employees can take advantage of this beneficial package. In the branches of these banks, the account holders of salary savings accounts will be provided with personal insurance cover along with other financial benefits. Under this, in case of accidental death, total disability and partial disability of the employees, their dependents will be provided the benefit of claim in the form of compensation and other benefits without paying any premium.
As per the agreement between the State Government and these 05 banks, in the unfortunate event of death of any employee, this coverage will provide financial assistance to his family, which will be between Rs. 30 lakh to Rs. 100 lakh. In case of total disability, financial assistance of Rs. 30 lakh to Rs. 50 lakh and in case of partial disability, financial assistance of Rs. 10 lakh to Rs. 40 lakh will be provided by the bank under the package. Along with this, in this package, there is also a provision of financial assistance for future needs like medical treatment due to accident, ambulance facility, education of children, marriage of daughter. In case of natural death of the personnel, the bank will also provide contribution of Rs. 3 lakh to Rs. 10 lakh to their dependents to help them overcome the challenges.

Sudhanshu, Secretary Dilip Jawalkar, Additional Secretary Manmohan Mainali, Treasury Director Dinesh Lohani, SBI General Manager Deepesh Raj, Deputy General Manager Vinod Kumar, M. Anil, Bank of Baroda General Manager M. Anil, Union Bank General Manager Amarendra Kumar, Canara Bank Assistant General Manager Mayank Mohan Kaushik, Neeraj Belwal from Cooperative Bank, Rajiv Pant from State Level Bankers Committee were present.
