Police Memorial Day: CM Dhami made big announcements for policemen, paid tribute to the martyrs

Dehradun: On Police Memorial Day, tribute was paid to the martyrs at the Police Line in Dehradun. This year 216 police personnel have been martyred across the country, out of which four policemen are also from Uttarakhand. Actually, Police Memorial Day is celebrated every year across the country, in which tribute is paid to the martyred policemen who put their lives at stake. In this episode, during the program organized in Dehradun, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and some ministers of the government, including MLAs and all the officials paid tribute to the martyred policemen.

Like every year, this time also on the day of Police Memorial Day, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has also made many important announcements for the policemen. The Chief Minister has announced to give Rs 100 crore in the coming financial year for the construction of government housing for the policemen. Apart from this, the nutritious diet allowance for the officers and employees of the police has also been increased by ₹ 100. The Chief Minister has also announced to give Rs 3500 as uniform allowance to Inspector and Sub Inspector.

Along with this, the daily allowance for the policemen performing duty at an altitude of more than 9000 feet has also been increased from ₹ 200 to ₹ 300. Seeing the contribution of the policemen, the Government of India is also working for their interests. National Police Memorial has also been established in the country under the leadership of the Prime Minister. The Police Department is working to make Devbhoomi drug free in Uttarakhand by 2025. Under this, the police has also caught more than 1100 drug dealers so far.

327 posts have also been created to overcome the shortage of jawans and officers in the police department. Along with this, the government has taken a big step against drug addiction by forming a Narcotics Force. The police department is also being equipped with state-of-the-art equipment. On this occasion, Uttarakhand Director General of Police in-charge Abhinav Kumar thanked the Chief Minister for the announcements made by the Chief Minister. Also talked about increasing the morale of the police.
