A total of 23 IAS officers from various cadres and batches are set to retire in October 2024, marking the conclusion of notable careers in public administration. Among the retirees is Dr. Renu Sharma of the AGMUT cadre, a 1988-batch officer currently serving as Mizoram’s Chief Secretary. Her contributions have been significant across various roles in the AGMUT administration.
Other prominent retirees include Gopal Krishna Dwivedi and M Prashanti of Andhra Pradesh; Ashutosh Kumar Verma, a 2010-batch Bihar cadre officer serving as the Collector and District Magistrate of Nawada; and A B Rathod of Gujarat. Vini Mahajan of the Punjab cadre, a 1987-batch officer, has held pivotal roles including Secretary in the Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation and in the Ministry of Environment, Forest, and Climate Change.
Dr. L Subramanian, a 2005-batch Tamil Nadu cadre officer, has served as Secretary to the Tamil Nadu State Election Commission. Other retiring officers span a range of states, including TVS Prasad of Haryana, Devinder Kumar Rattan of Himachal Pradesh, Pankaj Rag of Madhya Pradesh, and Vijay Kumar Yadav of Uttarakhand. These officials have contributed decades of dedicated service across sectors.
