IPS officer C. Venkata Subba Reddy has been appointed as the Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) in the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for a five-year tenure. He is an IPS of 2007 batch and Assam-Meghalaya cadre. An official order issued on Friday, October 25, 2024, confirms that the competent authority has approved his induction as DIG in CBI for five years from the date he assumes charge or until further notice, whichever comes first. Mr. Reddy previously served as Superintendent of Police (SP) in the National Investigation Agency (NIA).
