PM Modi launched air ambulance service in Rishikesh AIIMS, AIIMS became the first institute in the country to do so

Rishikesh: A new history has been added to the name of Rishikesh AIIMS on Tuesday. Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched heli ambulance service in AIIMS Rishikesh. This ambulance service has been started under Sanjeevani Yojana. All 13 districts of Uttarakhand will get the benefit of this service. Heli ambulance service will prove to be a boon especially for the 11 hill districts of Uttarakhand. This heli ambulance will provide immediate medical facility during disaster and accident in the state. Heli ambulance services will be free for three years. AIIMS Rishikesh has become the first institute in the country to do so.

The heli ambulance service started under Sanjeevani Yojana will be completely free. Before this, heli ambulance was trialed several times. After the trial, the heli ambulance was officially launched today.

The central and state governments are jointly running the Sanjeevani scheme. Both the central and state governments will bear 50-50 percent of the expenses. The most important thing is that under this scheme, it is mandatory to benefit at least 30 needy people every month through the heli ambulance. Looking at its success, this health service can also be linked to the Ayushman Bharat scheme in the coming days.
