Uttarakhand: Contract signed with ADB for projects worth Rs 2,447 crore for the state, Namo Bhawan to be built in this city

Dehradun: Contracts were signed on Wednesday between the Centre, state government and Asian Development Bank (ADB) for projects worth Rs 2,447 crore in the state. Recently, ADB had approved funding of these projects.

Uttarakhand Urban Area Development Agency (UUSDA) Project Director Chandresh Kumar said that the agreement has been signed in Delhi. Work on the projects will start soon. These projects will provide drinking water connections to 36,119 houses in the state while 10,098 sewerage connections will be provided.

Which scheme in which city

Kotdwar drinking water scheme: 373 crores

Champawat drinking water scheme: 240 crores

Kichha drinking water supply scheme: 463.24 crores

Vikasnagar drinking water and sewerage scheme: 509.84 crores

Haldwani Information Technology Management System: 400 crores

Haldwani Comprehensive Mobility Urban Mobility Scheme: 268 crores

What work will be done in which scheme

– In Haldwani, along with the construction work of urban mobility and Namo Bhawan (an administrative building for all government offices), other works will be done.

– 160 km of drinking water network will be laid in Champawat. 4523 domestic drinking water connections will be given. Four reservoirs will be constructed for 2900 kilo liter drinking water capacity. A drinking water purification plant of 3.5 MLD capacity will be established.

– 330 km of drinking water network will be laid in Kotdwar. 22,196 domestic drinking water connections will be given. Four reservoirs and tube wells will be constructed for 4000 KL drinking water capacity.

– 402 km drinking water network will be laid in Kichha. 20,000 domestic drinking water connections will be given. Four reservoirs and tube wells will be constructed for 6800 KL drinking water capacity.

– 131 km drinking water network will be laid in Vikasnagar town. 9400 domestic drinking water connections will be given. Four reservoirs and tube wells will be constructed for 3650 KL drinking water capacity.

– 58 km sewerage network will be laid in Vikasnagar town. 10,098 sewerage connections will be given. A sewage treatment plant of 7.5 MLD capacity will be established.
