Dehradun: On 9 November 2024, the state of Uttarakhand is celebrating its 25th Foundation Day. From 9 November to the next one week, different programs are being organized across the state. In this sequence, a rally parade was organized at the Police Line in Dehradun, the capital of Uttarakhand. During this, Governor Retired Lt. Gen. Gurmeet Singh, who arrived as the chief guest, inspected the parade and took the salute. Hundreds of school children including Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, Cabinet Ministers, MPs, MLAs were also present in the rally parade.

Every year on the occasion of State Foundation Day, all the talented persons of the state are honored with the Uttarakhand Gaurav Samman Award. In this sequence, this year five talented persons of the state were honored with the Uttarakhand Gaurav Samman Award. Governor Gurmeet Singh honored all five talented persons.

 At the same time, during the rally parade, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, while wishing the people of the state on State Foundation Day, first paid tribute to the people who died in the Almora bus accident. The CM said that the state of Uttarakhand, nurtured and nourished by former Prime Minister Late Atal Bihari Vajpayee, is progressing rapidly under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi today. Along with the establishment of medical colleges in all the districts of the state, a satellite of AIIMS Rishikesh is being established. The Uttarakhand government has taken many big decisions in the state, which include decisions including Uniform Civil Code, Anti-Riot Law, Anti-Copying Law.

Reiterating the point of bringing a land law, the CM said that the government will soon bring a strict land law in the state of Uttarakhand and take strict action against those who mess with the land of the state. The government has taken major action against land jihad as well as spit jihad. Chief Minister Dhami said that the Silver Utsav Year of Uttarakhand starting from today will prove to be a historic year in terms of making Uttarakhand the leading state of the country in the direction of all-round development. The Uttarakhand government will continue to work continuously with the basic mantra of ‘Vikalp Nibandh’ to make the state the best state of the country. The Chief Minister also mentioned about bringing rail to the hills soon through the Rishikesh-Karnprayag rail line and said that along with setting up medical colleges in various districts of the state, a satellite center of AIIMS Rishikesh is also being constructed. Uttarakhand is progressing rapidly in various sectors including tourism, agriculture, horticulture and industry, due to which business, self-employment and job opportunities are being created on a large scale in the state. The government has worked to increase the opportunities for capital investment in the state by making many new policies including Industrial Policy, Logistics Policy, Startup Policy. Similarly, an ‘Industrial Smart City’ is going to be established soon in Khurpiya of Udham Singh Nagar.

  1. A special process will be created to determine the responsibility of contractors and engineers for the purpose of ensuring the quality of roads.

 

  1. Work will be started to provide ‘Mukhyamantri Mother-Child Incentive Assistance’ to women for the care of mother and child during delivery.

 PM’s special message

 During this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also gave a special message to the people of Uttarakhand from Delhi. The PM has made five requests to the people of Uttarakhand on the State Foundation Day. The PM said that the dialect of Uttarakhand, Kumaoni, Garhwali and Jaunsari is very unique, hence its preservation is very important. The people of Uttarakhand must teach these dialects to their future generations. These dialects are very important to strengthen the identity of Uttarakhand. Along with this, the people of Uttarakhand are nature and environment lovers. In such a situation, it is very important that we protect nature. Every person has to take forward the ‘One Tree for Mother’ campaign.

 Pahari people should stay connected to their roots

The PM, while recalling the tradition of worshipping streams and rivulets in Uttarakhand, appealed to all the people to conserve the rivers and streams. He also said that to keep their roots strong, the Pahari people living outside should regularly visit their villages. After retirement, definitely visit your villages and keep the relationship strong with them. The PM appealed to the people of the hills that the people of Uttarakhand should save their old houses and not forget them. You can make these houses a source of income by making them homestays, because the number of tourists coming to Uttarakhand is increasing every year.

The PM made four requests to the tourists coming to Uttarakhand:

  1. Whenever you go to the mountains in the lap of the Himalayas, keep cleanliness paramount. Along with this, do not use single-use plastic.
  2. Remember the mantra of Vocal for Local during the journey.
  3. If you go to the mountains, then definitely follow the traffic rules there, be careful because everyone’s life is precious.
  4. Find out about the customs and rules and regulations of the religious places before the trip.
