Uttarakhand: Dhami government started preparing for the upcoming budget, sought proposals from departments

Dehradun: After the completion of the first half of the budget session, the state government has started preparing for the upcoming budget. The Finance Department has issued detailed guidelines to all the departments regarding sending online proposals for the financial year 2025-26. Along with this, revised budget estimates have also been sought for the current financial year.

According to Finance Secretary Dilip Jawalkar, all the administrative departments have been asked to send information regarding the income, expenditure, new demand, gender budget and posts of the coming year through Integrated Financial Management System (IFMS) by December 20. Proposals for new demands will be sent separately from the secretary level through IFMs. While preparing the proposal, it has also been asked to follow the principle of frugality and financial discipline in view of limited resources. Departments have been expected not to wait for the last date to avoid the pressure of proposals at the last moment. Roadmap should be kept in mind

Before making budget demand, it has been advised to carefully study the instructions given in the entire government order. While preparing the proposal for the upcoming budget system, it has been asked to keep in mind the short-term (two years), medium-term (five years) and long-term (10 years) roadmap under the state government’s policy Sashakt Uttarakhand @ 25.
