Dehradun: Omkar Singh, who was looking after the responsibility as Additional Secretary in Uttarakhand Secretariat, has now been given a new charge. Omkar Singh was looking after the responsibility of Social Welfare till now. Whereas, now he has been deployed in reorganization. On the other hand, after Kedarnath elections, some other big changes are likely to be made in the districts including the government.
New charge to Additional Secretary Social Welfare Omkar Singh
In Uttarakhand government, Additional Secretary Social Welfare Omkar Singh has been given the charge of Reorganization Department by taking back the responsibility of Social Welfare Department. However, there were already discussions about changing his responsibility, so on Thursday, Joint Secretary of Personnel Department Shyam Singh issued an order related to this.
Additional Secretary Omkar Singh is an officer of the Secretariat Service and has handled many important responsibilities in the government. Recently, Omkar Singh had requested to be relieved from the responsibility of Social Welfare Department citing his health. Although, he had asked to be kept on compulsory waiting, but the government has given him the responsibility of the reorganization department.
Omkar Singh is going to retire in 3 months
The special thing is that Omkar Singh is going to retire in the next 3 months. In such a situation, before retirement, due to his poor health, he had also informed the senior officials of the government that he was not able to bear the burden of more work. After this, the government decided to remove him from important responsibilities.
On the other hand, preparations are also underway to relieve the officers of the railway service in Uttarakhand. Actually, these officers are posted on deputation in Uttarakhand and now there are reports of their release from the government. The reason behind this is that the railway has written a letter related to sending back two railway officers Narendra Joshi and Dr. Harish who are on deputation in the state. However, there is news that the government may give these officers a chance to remain on their current responsibility for a few months.
