Dehradun: The Dhami government is also taking the matter of increasing road accidents in Uttarakhand seriously. This is the reason why now the government has decided to make a road accident safety rule. A committee of experts will be formed to prepare this rule.
On Friday, November 15, a meeting of high officials of the government was held under the chairmanship of CM Pushkar Singh Dhami at the Chief Minister’s residence. During the meeting, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami discussed road accidents with the officials. Along with this, how to curb these accidents was also discussed.
In the meeting, CM Dhami instructed the officials to run fixed wing aircraft from Dehradun to Gauchar and Chinyalisaur. Tender and all other formalities should be completed soon for its operation. For better prevention of road accidents, instructions were given to constitute a committee of experts to make road accident safety rules and hold a meeting with them.
The CM said that the increase in road accidents in the state is a matter of concern, on which special attention should be paid to safety measures for better prevention. Along with this, the CM has given strict instructions that liquor shops / bars should be open only till the fixed time. It should be monitored continuously. During the night, investigation should be done with alcometer and action should be taken against over speeding. The CM instructed that the arrangements should be completed keeping in mind all the aspects related to public safety.
Let us tell you that in the last one week, many big road accidents happened in Uttarakhand, in which the light of many houses was extinguished. After the Almora bus accident, 6 students died in a horrific road accident in Dehradun on the night of 12 November. After this, two days ago, one person died in a road accident in Asha Rodi, Dehradun, while many people were injured. Last night, a road accident happened in Roorkee. Here too four people died.
