The Government of India has announced the appointment of two new ambassadors to key countries, reinforcing India’s diplomatic presence globally.
- Balasubramanian, an Indian Foreign Service (IFS) officer of the 1998 batch, has been appointed as the High Commissioner of India to the Republic of Maldives. With extensive experience in the foreign service, Balasubramanian is set to strengthen India’s ties with the neighboring island nation.
Meanwhile, Dinesh Bhatia, an IFS officer of the 1992 batch, has been appointed as the Ambassador of India to the Federative Republic of Brazil. Bhatia, with a distinguished career in diplomacy, will work to further enhance India-Brazil relations, particularly in areas of trade, investment, and cooperation on global platforms.
Both appointments highlight India’s commitment to advancing diplomatic ties with the Maldives and Brazil.
