Uttarakhand’s new DGP Deepam Seth met CM Dhami, discussed law and order, Dhami gave best wishes and told the priorities of work

Dehradun. Newly appointed Director General of Police Deepam Seth met Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami at the Chief Minister’s residence on Tuesday. The Chief Minister congratulated Director General of Police Deepam Seth and said that along with law and order in the state, the police has to be taken towards smart policing. He said that along with the empowerment of the police, they also have to be connected through advanced technology.

He told the DGP that the resolution of the state government is to make Uttarakhand drug free, in which the police has an important role. He said that a rapid campaign has to be run against drugs in the society and drug mafia and smugglers have to be put in jail. It is also necessary to pay special attention to traffic safety.

Met the Chief Secretary before assuming office

Let us tell you that before assuming office, Director General of Police Deepam Seth met Chief Secretary Radha Raturi in the Secretariat. During this, the Chief Secretary had asked to give special focus on women and child crime. Apart from this, action was also asked to be taken against cyber crime and drug smugglers which have become a challenge. During this, the DGP said that immediate action will be taken against crimes against women and children.
