Dhami government’s decision, Ayushman cards will be made for more than 97 lakh people of Uttarakhand, Health Minister said – Special campaign will run till March 31

Dehradun: A district-wise action plan will be prepared to make Ayushman cards of 100 percent people in Uttarakhand. For this, Health Minister Dhan Singh Rawat has given instructions to the Chief Medical Officers of all the districts. Along with this, a special campaign will be run till March 31, 2025 to make Ayushman cards. In which cards of elderly people above 70 years of age will also be made.

In fact, Medical Health and Medical Education Minister Dhan Singh Rawat reviewed the health services on Wednesday. In the meeting, Minister Rawat also showed strictness on the Chief Medical Officers of the districts with slow progress in making Ayushman cards. He has directed all the CMOs to make a concrete action plan and make it available to the government to make Ayushman cards of 100 percent people in the state.

Target to make Ayushman cards for 97.11 lakh members of Uttarakhand

Cabinet Minister Dhan Singh Rawat said that a target has been set to make Ayushman cards for 97.11 lakh members of 23.89 lakh families in Uttarakhand. Out of which, Ayushman cards of 53.61 lakh people and golden cards of 4.73 lakh people have been made so far. Along with this, Ayushman cards of about two thousand people above 70 years of age have been made.

He said that under the Ayushman scheme, so far 12.32 lakh people have availed the benefits of the scheme, on which an amount of Rs 2,289 crore has been spent. Similarly, more than one lakh golden card holders have also availed health benefits under this scheme. During the meeting, Minister Rawat directed to run a special campaign till March 31 to make Ayushman cards of maximum number of people. In which the help of CHO, ANM, Asha and Ayushman Mitras will be taken.

He directed that the Secretary Health and Chairman of the State Health Authority will review the campaign by holding a virtual meeting with the District Magistrates and CMOs of all the districts. Along with this, Minister Rawat instructed during the meeting to prepare a better strategy for treating as many patients as possible under the Ayushman scheme in government medical colleges and government hospitals. Apart from this, necessary guidelines were given to the departmental officers by discussing many other points including removing the practical difficulties in the Golden Card, improvement of 108 emergency service, filling the vacant posts in all cadres in medical colleges and government hospitals. So that everyone can take advantage of the Ayushman scheme.
