Central government gives special financial assistance to Uttarakhand, ₹100 crore approved for tourism development in Rishikesh, Dhami expressed gratitude to PM

Dehradun: The central government has approved a special loan (assistance) of Rs 100 crore to Uttarakhand under the ‘Special Assistance to State for Capital Investment 2024-25 Scheme’. Along with this, under the Capital Investment of States (Part-IX), the Central Government has approved an amount of Rs 167.70 crore for the state of Uttarakhand. On which Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman.

The central government has approved the release of a special loan (assistance) of Rs 100 crore to Uttarakhand under the ‘Special Assistance to State for Capital Investment 2024-25 Scheme’. Under which, all the projects under the Tourism Department will be completed in the pilgrimage city of Rishikesh. Out of the special assistance of Rs 100 crore, Rs 66 crore has been released by the Finance Ministry as the first installment. While the second installment of Rs 34 crore will be released on spending up to 75 percent of the first phase assistance amount. Along with this, the Ministry of Finance, Government of India has approved and sanctioned an amount of Rs 167.70 crore for the state of Uttarakhand under the Capital Investment of States (Part-IX) under the Special Assistance Scheme. This amount has been given to the state to promote development projects and capital investment in the state. At the same time, the Chief Minister said that this financial assistance is very important to strengthen the infrastructure in the state, speed up development projects and overall development of the state. He also said that he was trying for this special financial assistance for a long time, he had also talked to Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman about this. CM Dhami has expressed gratitude to the Central Government for this. With the financial assistance received, the government will develop Rishikesh as a tourist city.
