State government started preparations for International Migrant Uttarakhandi Conference, Chief Secretary directed the concerned secretaries to prepare an action plan within 1 week

Dehradun: CS Mrs. Radha Raturi has given instructions to prepare an action plan within a week while giving the responsibility of various sessions to the concerned secretaries during the organization of the proposed International Migrant Uttarakhandi Conference in Dehradun on 12 January 2025. The Chief Secretary has directed to discuss the possibilities of investment in various sectors like manufacturing, power generation, start-up etc. in the sessions to be held during the International Migrant Uttarakhandi Conference. He has especially directed to brainstorm on tourism, agriculture, horticulture, rural development, higher education, skill development, health care, AYUSH, yoga etc. He has also directed to include guest migrants as speakers along with subject experts and officials in these sessions.

In a meeting held at the Secretariat, Chief Secretary Mrs. Radha Raturi has given instructions to display the best of the state’s folk culture, food, local handicrafts and products during the proposed International Migrant Uttarakhandi Conference. The Chief Secretary has given instructions to make the Secretary of the concerned department the nodal officer for each session to be organized during the conference. She has given instructions to the District Magistrate and Senior Superintendent of Police Dehradun to make proper arrangements for cleanliness of the city and the venue, parking arrangements, contact officers for welcoming the migrant guests coming from abroad, transport, protocol, accommodation, traffic during the conference.

Additional Chief Secretary Mr. Anand Bardhan, Principal Secretary Mr. R.K. Sudhanshu, Secretary Mr. Meenakshi Sundaram, Mr. Sachin Kurve, Mr. Vinod Kumar Suman, Secretaries of all departments, Additional Secretaries and officers of the concerned departments were present in the meeting.
