2007 batch Indian Foreign Service (IFS) officer Om Prakash Meena has been appointed as the next Ambassador of India to Burkina Faso. He is expected to assume his new role in the near future.
In an official statement, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) confirmed the appointment, stating, “Shri Om Prakash Meena (YOA: 2007) has been appointed as the next Ambassador of India to Burkina Faso.” The statement further added that he is expected to take up the assignment shortly.
This appointment highlights India’s continued efforts to strengthen its diplomatic presence and relations with countries in Africa.
