Launch of 38th National Games in Uttarakhand, CM Dhami and PT Usha along with many big names were present

Dehradun: The 8th National Games will be organized in Uttarakhand this time. The opening ceremony of the tournament was organized on 15 December. In this launching ceremony, five major symbols of the games were unveiled, which include logo, anthem, mascot, torch and jersey. Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, IOA Chief PT Usha, Union Minister of State for Sports and many other prominent officials attended this important event. The tournament will be played from 28 January to 14 February.

So many players will participate in the National Games

During this ceremony, a jersey specially designed for the players of Uttarakhand was also unveiled. After the launch, the torch will be taken around the state as a symbol of unity and collectivism. A total of 42 training camps have been organized to prepare the players for the National Games, in which 1260 players are participating. The state has called experienced coaches from other states and abroad to provide better training.

These sports were included

Traditional sports of Uttarakhand such as yoga and mallakhamb have been included in the main events of the National Games. Indian Olympic Association Chief PT Usha announced this during the event. The state’s Sports Minister discussed the subject with PT Usha on Wednesday night and PT Usha had responded positively to the idea. PT Usha said this

PT Usha said on this occasion that she wants to congratulate the Uttarakhand government and Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami for building world class sports facilities in the state. PT Usha also said that under his guidance, Uttarakhand has set an example of how a state can promote sports in its own country. He also announced that yoga and mallakhamb are being included as medal events in the National Games. He further said that by including these sports, we are giving our national tradition a place in global sports.

What did Pushkar Singh Dhami say?

State Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, who was present at the launch, said that today is a historic day for all of us in the history of sports in Uttarakhand. Today we are unveiling the mascot anthem, logo, tagline and jersey. On behalf of all the people of Uttarakhand, I thank PM Modi for giving us the opportunity to organize this. He further said that the logo we have launched today showcases various parts of Uttarakhand in front of the whole country and the song you heard not only shows our unity but also inspires our players and youth to work harder.

All the games will be held in these cities

The Sports Minister also gave information about the venues of various competitions of the 38th National Games. There will be 16 competitions in Dehradun, 3 in Haridwar, 3 in Rudrapur, 8 in Haldwani, 1 in Tehri and 1 in Rishikesh Shivpuri. Apart from this, as exhibition sports, Yoga will be held in Pauri, Mallakhamb in Almora, Rafting in Tanakpur and Kalaripayattu in Dehradun.
