Dehradun: In the Indo-Pakistan war in 1971, the Indian Army showed its valor. Then on this day, the Indian Army forced more than 93 thousand Pakistani soldiers to kneel down. On this occasion, CM Dhami also made a big announcement for the wives and mothers of the soldiers who have been martyred for the country since independence till now.
Vijay Diwas celebrated in Uttarakhand
In view of the bravery and valor of the Indian soldiers, every year 16 December is celebrated as Vijay Diwas. On the occasion of Vijay Diwas, a tribute ceremony was organized at the Parade Ground in Dehradun. In this, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami honored all the wives and retired soldiers. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami announced that the wives and mothers of the martyred soldiers will be given free travel facility.
CM Dhami remembered the victory of the 1971 war
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that Vijay Diwas is a very historic and proud day for the army and the country. On this day, the Pakistani army surrendered in front of our army. The Indian army has always been mighty and this army has always been valorous.
The Indian Army forced about one lakh Pakistani soldiers to surrender. Plans are being made under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi to advance the soldiers in the country, to advance their morale and for the welfare of their families. Today India is moving ahead in every field, India’s borders are safe.
The Chief Minister counted the work being done for the soldiers
Along with this, the CM said that today the army is being given facilities and equipment according to their needs, which they were not able to get earlier. Due to this, the morale of the army has also increased. The CM said that India is also moving ahead in the field of exports today. Uttarakhand state is also Veer Bhoomi along with Devbhoomi. Uttarakhand is a soldier-dominated state. In such a situation, schemes are being made continuously for the welfare of the soldiers. Sainik Dham is also being built here.
Free travel facility to the wives and mothers of the martyrs
CM Dhami said that along with this, they are also requesting the Government of India for the facilities of the soldiers. The CM said that earlier the wives of the Chakra winners were being given the facility of free travel. Now the wives of all the martyred soldiers and their mothers will be given the facility of free travel in the buses of the Transport Corporation.
