Dehradun: In view of the crowd of devotees thronging during the Yatra period in Char Dham Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri and Yamunotri, emphasis is being laid on increasing the carrying capacity of the Dhams. In this sequence, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami directed in a high-level meeting held at his residence on Friday that efforts should be made to increase their carrying capacity in view of the development of infrastructure facilities in Chardham. Dhami said that along with every kind of facility for the passengers, preparations should be made from now on keeping in mind all aspects including carrying capacity and various arrangements on the travel routes. It would be better to take suggestions from stakeholders for travel management. Along with making better use of digital technology for a well-organized Chardham Yatra, the system of travel registration should be strong. For this, a complete action plan will have to be made and work will have to be done from now on.
